In keeping with its tradition and values, Broadoaks welcomes children who represent the rich diversity of Whittier and its surrounding communities.
Broadoaks’ admission criteria are designed to sustain diverse, balanced, and representative classroom populations. We seek balance in gender, cultural and socioeconomic background, ethnicity, learning styles, and academic abilities.
Admission to the Broadoaks School is selective and often requires a waiting period. Families are encouraged to participate in one of the school’s pre-scheduled tours to determine compatibility. Kindergartners entering in the Summer or Fall must be five years old on or before September 1 of that year.
Applications are accepted year-round and require a non-refundable processing fee at the time of submission. Admitted students are notified via letter/phone call. The date of initial application is one consideration in the selection process. Names are added to the waiting list immediately after the office receives completed applications. We welcome wait-list families at all school events.
Program offerings, start and end times are subject to change based on Public Health guidelines.
