The Broadoaks Holiday Auction Fundraiser

The Broadoaks Holiday Auction Fundraiser, “Reach for the Stars,” is the school’s only annual fundraiser. The Auction offers silent and voice auctions. All proceeds are used for classroom materials and instructional supplies.  About 500 members of the greater Whittier community, families and friends of Broadoaks attend the Auction.

To support the goals and objectives of the Broadoaks School, you may wish to make a gift online. Next year’s Auction will be held on November 13, 2021 from 7:00-11:30 p.m. at the Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier. The Auction features an array of one-of-a-kind, unusual, and beautiful items representing the best of our supporting businesses and community members.

Businesses and other organizations can support the Broadoaks School by:

Sponsoring a Table at the Auction  Become a table sponsor for a donation of $400 or more. Your business or organization name will be prominently displayed at the event. All table sponsors must complete a contribution agreement, available in the Broadoaks office.

Donating or Soliciting a Product or Service  Donate or solicit a donation of a product or service for the silent or voice auction. All donations must be submitted with a contribution agreement, included in the solicitations packet. Download Contribution Agreement.

Attending the Auction  Advance reservations may be made online for a limited time only. After the final online date, admission may be paid at the door the evening of the event. Credit cards (MC, VISA and Discover) will be accepted. Bring friends and family to the Auction!

The Broadoaks Parent Organization supports annual events, such as the Holiday Auction and Pancake Breakfast, that provide the fundraising base for the school.  Others support Broadoaks because they believe in the school’s work for children and for educators. Broadoaks relies primarily on the generosity of donors to maintain its services because a priority of the school is to maintain a representative socio-economic, ethnic, and ability balance in all classrooms. This balance is crucial to the school’s work in teacher education, since a student population that approximates that of the public schools provides the most meaningful “learning laboratory” for both current and future teachers.
